The Portal 48 is MVP’s Black Hole Portal with the Singularity 12 chain-rack upgrade: 12 extra heavy-duty galvanized chains around the center pole, turning the Portal into a PDGA-approved 48-chain basket that greatly reduces pole-strike spit outs.
The crown jewel of MVP’s basket research, the enhanced Portal starts with 36 strands of hot-dipped galvanized steel chain — 12 outer, 12 outer-middle, 6 inner-middle, and 6 inner — on 4 independent rings. The independent ring design gives elite kinetic energy dispersion, so the basket catches spin, push, hard, and soft putts with ease. Firm putts will not cut through. Soft putts won’t be spit out by initial chain resistance.
A universal locking tab position makes installation straightforward on market-standard sleeves. Available with matching cage colors in Red and Yellow, plus the classic Black top and silver cage. Choose Permanent Installation for course work or Portable for a professional-grade practice basket you can move.
On top of all that, the Portal comes with a 20-year limited warranty. This is the official basket of Maple Hill, with the Singularity 12 upgrade already included.
